HSA Programs and Fundraising Budget Overview
WOODLAND HSA BUDGET OVERVIEW
The Woodland HSA supports four primary program areas with a total annual budget of ~ $25,000 or ~
$83 per student.

CLASSROOM AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
The Woodland HSA Provides each classroom with a materials/teacher reimbursement allocation. These
funds are provided to each classroom to directly benefit the children. The Woodland HSA also maintains the outdoor classroom and updates the bulletin board at the main entrance.
BUDGET: $5,000
CULTURAL ARTS IN EDUCATION, EVENTS & PROGRAMS
Spring and Fall Cultural Arts Assemblies. These assemblies are organized by parent volunteers to
bringing enrichment programs to the school and its students.
Special events, including Field Day, Science Day, Author Day, 2nd Grade Sendoff, Teacher Appreciation
Week, and others are covered by the Events & Programs budget.
BUDGET: $14,450
ADMINISTRATIVE AND OTHER EXPENSES
Administrative fees cover Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) tax return & filing fees, licensing, insurance, accounting fees, printing materials, website fees, spirit wear inventory, credit card processing fees, etc.
BUDGET: $4,500
FUNDRAISING INITIATIVES, SOCIAL EVENTS & GRANTS
Throughout the year, the Woodland HSA and parent volunteers, organize fundraising events and
initiatives including Walk-A-Ween, Adult Night Out, and Thanksgiving Basket Drive. In addition, the HSA sponsors social gatherings such as Fall and Spring Fling.
The Woodland HSA endeavors to raises funds through so-called “free money” initiatives, such as BoxTops, Dine-Around Town, Penguin Shop, Gertrude Hawk Chocolate Sale, and the Mum Sale.
The Woodland HSA may also conduct target fundraisers to support unbudgeted, but specific needs of the
Woodland Elementary School.
The Morris Educational Foundation also provides a $3,000 grant to support Cultural Arts programs.
